Hana Code Corp was founded in Calgary, Alberta with a clear purpose: build software that helps Canadians plan for a better future. The name "Hana" reflects growth and new beginnings — values that drive everything we build.
We started with a simple observation: Canadian retirement planning tools were either too complex, too expensive, or built for the American market. Canadians deserve tools that understand RRSP, TFSA, CPP, OAS, and our unique tax landscape. So we built Slackwater — a retirement planning app designed from the ground up for Canadians.
Today, Hana Code Corp continues to develop thoughtful applications that solve real problems with clarity and care.

Founder & Developer
Mike is a technology leader, architect, and developer who specializes in crafting modern, simple, user-focused software. An expert iOS developer and React/TypeScript specialist, with additional expertise in Remix, Swift, and Tailwind, he brings a product-minded approach to every project.
An early-stage startup enthusiast with fractional CTO experience, Mike has built software across a wide range of industries — from medical imaging to fintech to consumer applications. This breadth of experience informs the pragmatic, user-first approach that defines Hana Code Corp.
Mike holds patents in adaptive scrolling for medical imaging and distributed image rendering architectures — innovations that demonstrate his ability to solve complex technical challenges with elegant solutions.
